Type 1 VW Swing Axle Oil Cooler Kit (68 and older)
Swing Axle Oil Cooler Kit for 1968 and Older Volkswagen Bugs. The mounting brackets are made of steel and each one is powder coated for addition protection. All brackets are TIG welded by hand here in house to ensure that each kit meets our high quality standard. Kit includes Oil Cooler with brackets installed, mounting hardware, (2) Adapter Fittings and thermostat with fitting. AN hoses and hose-ends sold separately. Hoses and hose-ends required to plumb cooler to engine and or oil filter.
This Kit was the first in our line up of in house products. It is attributed as the first torsion mounted oil cooler kit on the market dating back to 2008.
The kit features a small yet powerful Setrab Proline STD Fan Pack Cooler P/N: FP119M22I. The cooler is rated for 100-150hp engines, it radiates between 13,000-17,500 BTU’s per hour. The cooler utilizes a Spal Brushed Axial Fan P/N: VA31-A101-46A, producing up to 324 CFM and has a current draw of 4-7 amps. Works Best wired as a Puller Fan.
